EFFECT OF POURING TIME ON DIMENSIONAL CHANGES IN IRREVERSIBLE HYDROCOLLOID IMPRESSION MATERIAL AFTER TREATMENT WITH DISINFECTANT

Objectives: To assess the eff ect of pouring time on dimensional changes alginate impression material after disinfection.Materials and Methods: A total twenty impressions were made using material. The divided into four groups designated as A, B, C D. Group (control) poured with dental stone immediately rinsing tap water. In group B D applying disinfectant spray at 10mins 1hrdelay. Group-C one hour without spraying disinfectant. All in plaster. diameter height raised column distance between two lines recorded a digital Vernier caliper 0.01mm accuracy. P value less than 0.05 was taken signifi cant.Results: various showed insignifi cant (p>0.05) when compared to each other except which change comparison (p<0.05). Similarly C-D exhibited (p>0.05)Conclusion: stability aff ected neither by application nor delaying up taking impression.
